Work Based Learning Coordinators Attend Conference

Marcia Morris and BJ Long, Carroll County Work Based Learning Coordinators recently attended the National Work Based Learning Conference in Savannah, Georgia. The conference entitled "Designing and Implementing Quality Work-Based Learning Systems: A Collaborative Workshop for States and Districts" was attended by over 500 individuals throughout the Georgia and the United States, including Dwayne Hobbs, Georgia State Program Specialist for Work Based Learning and Youth Apprenticeship; Dr. M. AnnLevett, Superintendent of  Savannah-Chatham Public Schools; Dr. Barbara Wall, Director of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education; Richard Woods, Georgia School Superintendent. The three-day conference included best practices in work based learning, important updates in laws and regulations, and participants had an opportunity to network with other states and counties regarding innovative practices in work based learning.
